Rationale: More than 20% of U.S. adults, ages 16 -74, have limited literacy proficiency at or below the 6th-grade level.

Objective: Gain a deeper understanding of "data-driven" instructional practices while tapping into their best practices.

Essential Question: Using current practices, how does data-driven instruction facilitate my growth as a teacher?

Today's Agenda:

  • Data-Driven Teacher: Participants will practice working in collaborative groups to review and interpret data, sharing insights and strategies for addressing diverse student needs.
  • IGP/PGP: Participants will create specific goals for incorporating data-driven instruction into their teaching.
  • Targeting Student Learning: Participants will produce simulated lesson plans and use interactive technology tools that facilitate data analysis and visualization.
